The Cognex IS5400-00 is a base model, high-performance vision system designed for the In-Sight 5000 series. Capable of monitoring a variety of machine and hardware systems, this module is easy to install and use. Over 256 different shades of gray make up the grayscale images produced by the device. All images are processed with the 64 MB of available photo memory. Programs and jobs sent to the camera module are stored in the integrated 32 MB of nonvolatile flash memory. Unlimited memory access is available if using a remote network.
IS5400-00 provides the user with clear images using the 640 x 480 pixel resolution. Image acquisition is simple and precise, with the module capable of capturing 60 frames per second. Integrated ID and tool systems provides users with features such as image filters, nonlinear calibration, and 1-D and 2-D barcode verification. The device is capable of communicating via a number of different connection points. One Ethernet and a 10/100 BaseT, TCP/IP protocol are available on the module. Serial connections to local I/O are also available using an RS232C connection.
All storage and installation outlines should be followed to prevent the device from any unnecessary damages. As a device with delicate circuitry, IS5400-00 is temperature sensitive. When the camera is mounted and operating, temperatures can safely range from 32℉ to 113℉, or 0℃ to 45℃. Even when the device is not operating, ambient temperatures should still be monitored and maintained. Storage temperatures can range as low as -22℉, or -30℃, and as high as 176℉, or 80℃.
