The Cognex In-Sight line of devices are a wide-spanning set of products, built and designed with a series of components that vary only in small specifications and details. The Cognex line of devices are all built uniformly, even down to the color scheme. The In-Sight line is designed as primarily yellow with black accents, the same colors of the Cognex Visions logo.
The In-Sight 5000 series that this unit is a part of all share the same physical measurements. This depends on whether the lens cover is attached at all. Without it installed, the In-Sight 5000 measurements are a standard 43.5 mm x 124.2 mm x 61.4 mm (1.71 in x 4.89 in x 2.42 in). With the cover attached, the dimensions slightly change to 83.4 mm X 124.2 mm x 61.4 mm (3.28 in x 4.89 in x 2.42 in).
The In-Sight 5000 models are made with a die-cast aluminum frame, which protects the delicate internal components from any possible damage. The protection rating this frame has is an IP-67 rating.
The minimum firmware requirement that the 5000 line has is the 4.4.3 version. The application memory that each model is outfitted with includes both a program memory and an image processing memory, which are respectively 128 and 256 MB.
