The hardware specifics of this assembly line sensor are standard for the Cognex In-Sight 2000 line. A variety of optic options are available for the right configuration needed, with a 3.6 mm lens, 6 mm, the standard 8 mm, then a 12 mm lens, 16 mm, and the largest is 25 mm. It’s able to view a 500 mm by 300 mm range of vision. An M12 S Mount and lens spacer of the same designation is compatible with each of these options, and its electronic shutter speed of 0 to 1000 milliseconds, at 75 frames per second. The CMOS imager captures up to 3.75-pixel micrometers.
The IS2000M-130-40-000’s power consumption rate is 24 DC voltage, and 48 watts, to power the LED lighting installed. The three LED rings eliminate the need for external lighting in the assembly line floor room for the sensor to operate. Instead, the built-in white, infrared, and red high brightness ring lights light the unit, and they are then optimized with red and infrared Bandpass lens filters and an IMPF-2000-POLAR polarizer.
In-Sight Explorer software and the VisionView 900 Human-Machine touch screen interface allow for an incredibly user-friendly and configurable model for any individual, with limited or no experience in operating an In-Sight motion monitor.
