The first entry of the Cognex In-Sight 2000 series of motion detecting vision sensors, this product outwardly matches the same description as the others in the series—the same aluminum frame, painted yellow and black and with the Cognex logo on its side, and weighing up to 200 grams, or 7.05 ounces, and with a length of 92 millimeters (3.62 inches), a width of 60 millimeters (2.36 inches) and a height of 52 millimeters (2.04 inches). The average operating temperature ranges from 0° Celsius to 40° Celsius (32° Fahrenheit to 104° Fahrenheit).
The IS2000-110 is outfitted with the In-Sight 5.2.1 firmware, with 160 megabytes of memory—32 MB for program and function memory, and 128 MB of SDRAM for image processing. The model’s image resolution is the standard 640 x 480 pixels, with a bit depth of 256 grey levels at 8 bits per pixel. With a maximum frame rate of 40 frames per second, the images are captured with a 8 millimeter standard lens with S Mount, though other options for lenses include 3.6 mm, 6 mm, 12 mm, 16 mm, and 25 mm.
For Input and Output ports, the model holds 6; 2 opto-isolated inputs, one for an Ethernet trigger, and one for a general use input line, and then 4 opto-isolated output lines. With the addition of the optional CIO-1400 I/O expansion module, 7 general purpose inputs, 2 high-speed outputs, and 6 general purpose outputs bring the total to 21 I/O ports (9 input, and 12 output)
