IS2000
Cognex’s In-Sight 2000 series vision sensor model, IS200, has five different models, the 110, the 120, the 120C, 130, and the 130C. All models are equipped with up to 32 megabytes of non-volatile flash memory for function and programming, and 128 megabytes of SDRAM for image processing, housed in a painted aluminum frame, in yellow and black, stamped with the Cognex logo on its side. Its dimensions are fairly compact, with 92 millimeters (3.62 inches) in length, 60 millimeters (2.36 inches) in width, and 52 millimeters (2.04 inches) in height. Weighing a total of 200 grams (7.05 ounces).
In order to record and monitor, the IS2000 is outfitted with a ⅓ inch CMOS (complementary metal-oxide semiconductor) imager, and an M12 8 millimeter standard lens which requires an S Mount, which provides a standard image resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. Magnification is possible on the 120 and 130 models.
The IS2000 electronic shutter speed is from 0 to 1000 milliseconds across all five models. The maximum acquisition speed ranges per model, the 110 model having 40 frames per second, the 120 and 130 models 75 frames per second, and the 120C and 130C having only 55 frames per second.
For Input/Output, the IS2000 series are all equipped with 1 opto-isolated acquisition trigger input, 1 opto-isolated input line intended for general purpose, and 4 discrete opto-isolated high speed output lines. However, optional add on hardware is available for increasing the number of input and output ports, the CIO-1400 I/O expansion module raises the numbers to 7 general purpose inputs, and 6 general purpose outputs.
