DMR-260Q-00

The DMR-260Q-00 is one of the several models of barcode readers from Cognex’s series, DataMan. The DataMan series of scanners are capable of analyzing and processing 1-D codes across the board, while more advanced models are capable of understanding 2-D matrix codes as well.

The 260Q models are only capable of handling 1-D barcodes, however. Oriented, omnidirectional, and stacked 1-D barcodes are able to be processed and logged at a rate of 45 decodes per second, while the inventory comes along on the line belt at speeds of up to 300 feet per minute.

Made up entirely of solid state materials, the CMOS imager processes and captures images at 60 frames per second, at a crisp resolution of 752 x 480 pixels. There’s two lens options for the DMR-260Q-00 model, a 6.2 millimeter lens, and then a 16 millimeter lens. Both lens are compatible with a number of additional options, such as polarized lens filters, unpolarized filters, and a liquid lens kit for the 16 millimeter lens.

The DMR-260Q-00 has several hardware attachments integrated into its aluminum frame, such as the auto tune button, the indicator LED light set, the beeper unit that alerts the operator if they are out of view of the model, and the lighting system, a modular, field configurable unit made up of four high powered LEDs. There is also a series of discrete, general purpose input and output ports (2 inputs, 4 outputs), and an RS 232 port and Ethernet interface unit included as well.
