Built and developed by the industrial equipment manufacturer Cognex, this is one of the several products from them. This series is called “DataMan,” and with four distinct subdivisions of these barcode readers. The 150S-0110 is one of those, a part of the 150 designation.

The physical details of the DMR-150S-0110 include the 16 millimeter lens option, which is able to read even smaller codes, or codes that are a further working distance away. Of course, the liquid lens kit is also able to be integrated. Also outfitted into the unit is a high powered, integrated light system, comprised of four red LED lights, meant to direct more light onto the barcodes for a better image resolution. There are also a set of polarized and unpolarized LEDs, meant to work on a separate type of surface, one that’s more shiny and reflective.

The DMR-150S-0110 is designed to analyze and scan 1-D and 2-D level barcodes and matrix codes. This model is able to read these codes because of its detailed, up to date, Cognex algorithms. Its dual core processor engine makes it able to decode damaged or warped, poorly printed codes, despite the printing quality, or printing method, or which surface the codes are marked onto.
