The F4-CP512-1 module has many different features that make it a convenient device for a user of almost any experience level to learn. It has a FACTS Extended BASIC interpreter, a real time battery backed calendar clock, floating point math, two serial ports, and 512 kilobytes of non-volatile memory. The 512 kilobytes of non-volatile memory is an especially vital inclusion in the F4-CP512-1 module, as this memory capability will allow for multiple program execution protocols and storage capabilities. This will also allow for the DirectLogic 405 to have a proper register expansion and a high capacity for retentive data storage and data retrieval.

The F4-CP512-1 module has numerous addresses that it uses for very different functions. The addresses that range from 0 all the way until 65535 have access to BASIC data memory and PROGRAM 0. The addresses that range from 65536 to 131071 have access to the program storage space, where PROGRAM 1 is saved at the very beginning of address 65536. The addresses ranging from 131072 to 524287 are the ones that utilize the BYTE, WORD, STORE@, LOAD@, and COPY functions to store and retrieve stored memory.
