Product Description

The F4-04DA is a 4-Channel Analog Output module in the DL405 family from Automation Direct.   This unit is designed as part of the larger DL405 family and works in conjunction with other CPUs, Inputs, Outputs, and bases.  

The F4-04DA is designed with four channels of single-ended voltage/current outputs that can be set in a single CPU scan.  These analog outputs are designed to be optically isolated from programmable logic controller logic components.   The F4-04DA has a removable terminal block attached to its front faceplate; this allows the entire unit to be removed or replaced without the need to disconnect wiring.   This module is designed with full flexibility and can be installed anywhere within the system, including within remote bases. 

The F4-04DA uses a successive approximation conversion method.   Its maximum load/voltage is  680W/18V, 1KW/24V, 1.5KW/36V, current output with a short-circuit current of 15 mA typical.    The unit has a power budget requirement of 120 mA @ 5 VDC and requires an external power supply. 

The 680W/18V, 1KW/24V, 1.5KW/36V, current output has several jumpers located in its rear panel.  These jumpers are used to select the signal range for each of the unit’s four channels, along with another jumper used to select current.  Jumper settings, along with other important information, can be found in original documentation from Automation Direct, including manuals, user guides, and some data sheets.  If you no longer have possession of these documents, AX Control may be able to help.  Ask your sales representative about this option when you place your order.
