AutomationDirect’s D4-DCM is a Network and Communications card that can be installed in the DL405. It allows users to connect their DirectLogic DL405 Programmable Logic Controller system to various communication networks, enabling efficient data transfer and real-time monitoring of system parameters and conditions. The card supports multiple network protocols, including Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, and DNP3, providing versatile communications features that fit unique system needs. 

The D4-DCM card offers highly flexible configuration options, enabling users to establish reliable connections across distributed systems. It features dual RJ45 Ethernet ports, providing redundancy and enabling ring or linear network constructions. The built-in switch allows straightforward daisy chaining of multiple devices, simplifying your network infrastructure and reducing cabling requirements and the associated costs. Network topologies come with a Master/Slave logic framework that provides a system for a main controller that governs over supporting units.
