D4-64TD1 is a DC output module manufactured by Automation Direct, Koyo, and Facts Engineering. A member of the DirectLogic 405 series, this 64 channel device is designed to interface with DL405 programmable logic controllers. All 64 channels of the module are current sinking outputs. These outputs all terminate into one of the eight non-isolated commons found on the module.
Monitoring voltage and current levels can prevent D4-64TD1 from overloading or damages. While in use, an operating voltage between 4.75 and 26.4 VDC is required, with a peak voltage of 36 VDC. An NPN open collector output type is produced by the module. The 64 channels on the module are capable of sustaining a maximum resistive current of 0.1 A per point, while each of the eight commons can withstand 1 A per common. The module as a whole can sustain up to 7 A of resistive current.
Following all installation and storage parameters will assist in preventing unnecessary damage to the device. Like most modules, D4-64TD1 is temperature sensitive and should be maintained in a climate controlled environment. While operating, temperatures can safely fall as low as 0℃, or 32℉, and raise as high as 60℃, or 140℉. Storage temperatures offer more flexibility, with temperatures capable of safely ranging from -20℃ to 70℃, or -4℉ to 158℉.
