Product Description

AutomationDirect’s D4-450DC-2 is a Self-Powered CPU Module designed for the DirectLogic 405 Programmable Logic Controller. It provides the DirectLogic series with all of the basic computing functions standard for PLCs, along with additional elements that expand the capabilities of the device. The Module has a DC Power Source and a built-in memory of 7.5 K. Additionally, the CPU Module offers up to 1,024 input/output points and features a data register of 15.3 K. It weighs 840g, or approximately 2lbs. 

The D4-450DC-2 can process upwards of sixteen PID loops in the CPU. The device offers various control modes to this end, including automatic, manual, and cascade control. This feature is also accompanied by various alarms that can indicate when system processes are unstable, including process variation, rate of change, and deviation alarms. Loops can easily be established using the DirectSOFT programming software, which considerably simplifies the setup and configuration processes. 

Designed to be hardened against harsh environmental factors, AutomationDirect’s D4-450DC-2 has a vibration resistance rating that is compliant with MIL STD 810C. It can withstand humidity ratings up to 95% (non-condensing). It also features insulation resistance > 10 MΩ (500 V DC applied). Lastly, it can withstand temperatures in a range of 0°C to 60°C.
