Product Description

The Automation Direct Facts Engineering Koyo D4-440DC-2 is a central processing unit (CPU) module. Developed for the DirectLogic 405 series, the device is capable of operating with DL405 programmable logic controllers. A separately sold memory cartridge is required for program storing, as no memory is built into the device. Powered by an DC supply, this module can input between 90 and 146 VDC.

D4-440DC-2 provides user with an exceptional experience, allowing for fast boolean execution and enhanced communication. Dual communication ports are provided with the module. The first is an RS232 input, offering a programming connection port. Port 1 features a 15 pin input with a baud rate of 9600 capable of interfacing with personal computers, handheld programmers, and various operator interfaces. The second port is a slave only port, accepting DirectNET, DirectSOFT, and other operator interface connections. Port 2 is a 25 pin auxiliary input allowing for an RS232/422 baud selectable input. The CPU dipswitches allows the user to select the desired baud rate for Port 2. A CPU keyswitch on the front of the module allows selection between RUN, TERM, and STOP. Six status indicators provide information for PWR, RUN, CPU, BATT, I/O, and COM.
