Product Description

D4-440DC-1 is a central processing unit (CPU) module developed by Automation Direct. A member of the DirectLogic 405 series, this module can interface with all programmable logic controllers in the same series. No memory is built into the system, but separately purchased memory cards are available, such as D4-UV1 or D4-EE-2. The D4-440DC-1 is a DC-powered module with an input range of 20 to 28 VDC.

Built for fast boolean execution and optimal communication, D4-440DC-1 provides a user-friendly experience. Two communications ports are built into the module for programming and network connectivity. The first port exclusively provides a port for programming the module. A 15-pin input, Port 1 supports RS232 inputs with a 9600 baud. A variety of programming devices, including personal computers, handheld programmers, and other operator interfaces, are supported using this port. Port 2, conversely, is a slave-only input. A 25-pin auxiliary port, this connection supports RS232/422 inputs with user-selectable baud rates. CPU dipswitches allow the user to select the baud rate of the second port. The front of the module features a CPU key switch, allowing selections between RUN, TERM, and STOP. Six CPU status indicators are also found on the front plate. These indicators alert users to successful or unsuccessful PWR, RUN, CPU, BATT, I/O, and COM connections.
