Product Description

The Automation Direct Facts Engineering Koyo D4-16TD1 is a DC output module. Developed for the DirectLogic 405 series, this 16 channel output is designed to install in DL405 programmable logic controllers. Aside from the PLC, this module supports interfacing with a variety of peripheral devices as well. All sixteen outputs are current sinking, with two internally connected commons serving as the terminating points for the channels.

Monitoring voltage and current levels in the module prevents unnecessary overloading or damages. D4-16TD1 requires an operating voltage between 4.5 and 26.4 VDC for proper function. The peak sustainable voltage the module can support registers at 40 VDC. An NPN open collector output type is produced by the module. Each channel of the device can sustain maximum resistive current of 0.5 A per point. Both commons, though, supports a maximum resistive current of 3 A per common. A required 5V base power of (maximum) 200 mA is needed to sustain the module.

Follow all installation and storage parameters to prevent any unnecessary damage to the module. D4-16TD1 requires a climate controlled environment to prevent any temperature damage. When operating, ambient temperatures should fall no lower than 0℃, or 32℉, and raise no higher than 60℃, or 140℉. Even when not in use, storage temperatures can affect the quality of the module. Storage temperatures can safely range from -20℃ to 70℃, or -4℉ to 158℉. All wiring and installation guides are available in the series manual and the device datasheet.
