Product Description

D4-16ND2 is a DC Input Module that is manufactured by Automation Direct as a part of the DirectLogic 405 series. There are 16 current sourcing inputs on this module and 2 isolated commons. The input voltage range is 10.2-26.4 VDC. The peak voltage is 26.4 VDC. The ON voltage level is greater than 9.5 VDC and the OFF voltage level is less than 4.0 VDC. The input impedance at 12 VDC is 3.2 KΩ, and the input impedance at 24 VDC is 2.9 KΩ. The input current at 12 VDC is 3.8 mA, and the input current at 24 VDC is 8.3 mA. The minimum ON current is 3.5 mA and the maximum OFF current is 1.5 mA. The base power required at 5V is 150 mA maximum. The OFF to ON response is 1-7 ms (typically 2.3 ms). The ON to OFF response is 2-12 ms (typically 4.6 ms). This module has a removable terminal and logic side status indicators. This unit weighs 8.8 ounces. This DC input module fits in Slot 0 and Slot 1 of the I/O configuration. The CoProcessor module interfaces the DirectLogic 405 family of programmable controllers. Applications that are supported on the CoProcessor include barcode readers, welders, board level controllers, serial printers, intelligent sensors, almost any device with an RS-232/422/485 port, or applications that require complex math. Up to eight modules can be supported on the CPU.
