Product Description

The D4-08B is a Standard base for the DL405 DirectLogic process control system.  This system is designed as a number of individual CPU, I/O, and power supply modules that all interconnect and can be mounted to standard or expandable bases using a number of different configurations. 

The D4-08B is an 8-slot base unit.  Bases like this are designed for holding the CPU and connected units. Modules slide into the base and connect via tabs and screws.  The base itself includes factory-made screw holes to allow for mounting options.  8-slot base units measure 441 mm by 150 mm.   Typically they are mounted horizontally to provide optimal ventilation for connected modules. 

Most DL405 modules are designed to function within ambient operating conditions where the humidity remains between 5% and 95%, non-condensing, and the temperature range is 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.   The unit should not be exposed to corrosive gases. 

To minimize any risk of electrical shock or equipment damage, system power should be removed before the installation of any component, including an equipment base.   When re-installing modules into this base, the CPU or Remote Slave must always be installed in the left-most slot.
