The Automation Direct Facts Engineering Koyo F3-AB128-T is a triple port ASCII BASIC module. This device is a member of the DirectLogic 305 series of logic controllers. This module is capable of also interfacing with a number of intelligent devices. Supported units include welders, serial printers, and most devices featuring a RS323C/422/485 port. The module also solves complex math problems, including trigonometric functions, exponents, and square roots.
An integrated 16 MHz processor allows F3-AB128-T to execute programmed commands independent of the controller’s installed CPU. Programming the module is simple using the included FACTS extended BASIC and ABM commander for Windows. This software allows users to easily program the device to operate as needed. The module is capable of executing and storing a number of programs with the 128K bytes of battery-backed RAM. Peripheral device connection is available using one of the three ports found on the terminal. Port 1 is a selectable RS232C/422/485 with a maximum baud rate of 57.6K baud. Port 2 is a built-in full-duplex asynchronous telephone modem, with 300/1200/2400 baud RSK/FSK. This port features an automatic dialer that intelligently monitors dial tone, ring, and busy signals. It also is capable of answering incoming calls, allowing for remote acquisition of data and diagnostics. Port 3 is a RS232C port with a maximum baud rate of 9600.
Be sure to follow all installation and storage protocols to prevent device damages. F3-AB128-T requires a climate controlled environment to function properly. Ambient operating temperatures can range from 32℉ to 140℉, or 0℃ to 60℃. All installation and wiring parameters are available in the user manual and datasheet.
