The DL305 Standard CPU is one part of a 3 piece arrangement of Direct Logic 305 CPUs. Automation Direct created this product with production help from Koyo And PLC Direct. For safe usage of the unit, the user should only operate it in temperatures between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. The operating humidity should stay between 5%and 95%. In storage, the device should be kept at a temperature between -20 and 70 degrees Celsius. To protect from noise pollution the CPU comes with a NEMA noise immunity.

The purpose of the DL305 Standard CPU is to help ease the process of communicating from device to device. The device needs either 110/220 VAC or 24VDC power to function properly. the device runs on a ladder memory. This means that the data of the system are individual and can be manipulated on its own. In total, the device has a total memory of 3.91k words. 3.7k words of that memory is dedicated to the ladder memory on the system. The programming language of the system is standard RLL.  The programming software for the system is the DirectSOFT programming software.

The DL305 Standard CPU has 128 local I/O points and can be expanded to add another 176 local points. The programs that are created for the system can save themselves internally .
