Product Description

The D3-08TD1 is an I/O module designed to work in conjunction with DirectLogic’s DL305 series of PLC components.  This series of small control programmable logic controllers offer an expandable, modular design that can use either relay ladder logic or RLL Plus programming.  The units include a port that can be connected to a handheld programmer for ease of use.  

Units within the DL305 family are designed for horizontal mounting.  Horizontal placement with minimum clearances followed (these are listed within Automation Direct documentation) will allow the unit to maintain a temperature that stays within proper operating specifications.  Units should be connected to a single point of ground and should not be installed in locations where corrosive gas is present.   If your location experiences temperatures at the extreme high or low of the DL305’s operating temperature scale, external heating or cooling sources should be considered.  

The  D3-08TD1 weighs approximately 0.35 pounds before being boxed for shipment.  The unit is an 8-point Discrete I/O output module rated at 6-24 VDC.  This unit has a covered,  non-removable terminal block located on its front faceplate.  Above this, the faceplate includes eight numbered indicator lights. The attached circuit board has multiple components mounted on its surface, most that are marked with a reference designation or an original part number.  These include high-voltage capacitors, resistors, and integrated circuits.
