Product Description

The D3-08NA-1 is a replacement component designed and marketed by DirectLogic/Automation Direct for the company’s DL305 series of PLCs.  This series of programmable logic controllers are designed with an expandable, modular design that is typically used for small control applications.   Bases are offered as 5- 8- and 10-slots. 

The D3-08NA-1 functions as a Discrete 8-point Input module.  It has a nominal input voltage of 120 VAC.  The unit is composed of a circuit board that includes ICs, transistors, jumpers, surface wiring, and capacitors connected to a front faceplate.  This faceplate is marked with the component’s ID number and has eight numbered indicators toward its top.   The module includes a terminal block in the bottom portion of the faceplate; this is covered by a removable cover. 

Input module derating characteristics change depending upon the ambient temperature.  Please review and be aware of these changes before operating the D3-08NA-1.  Derating change charts can be found within DirectLogic manuals.  8-point modules should use a maximum 12 AWG and should be the shortest length possible.  Input wires should not be placed near output wires and should not have sharp bends if possible.
