The F2-04AD-1, 4-Channel Analog Voltage Input Module contains some features to improve reliability, usability, and flexibility.
The analog inputs are optically isolated from the PLC logic.
For improved usability and portability, the terminal block is easily removable to ensure the F2-04AD-1, 4-Channel Analog Voltage Input Module is easily removable without disconnecting wiring.
If a DL250-1 or a DL260 CPU is used all four channels can be updated in one scan.
The F2-04AD-1 contains an on-board active analog filtering and a microcontroller with RISC-like characteristics.
The F2-04AD-1 contains on-board 250 ohm ½ watt precision resistors.
The F2-04AD-1, 4-Channel Analog Voltage Input Module is a 4-channel analog input voltage module. The input range is 0-5 VDC and 0-10 VDC. The number of channels is 4, single ended (one common). The resolution is 12 bit (1 in 4096). The power budget requirement is 100 mA (*50 mA maximum, 5 VDC (supplied by base). The environmental air requirement is no corrosive gases permitted. The operating temperature 0-60°C (32-140°F). The relative humidity 5–95% (non-condensing).
The PLC update rate is 1 channel per scan maximum (DL230 CPU) and 4 channels per scan maximum (DL240/250-1/260 CPU). The input points requirement is 12 binary data bits, 2 channel ID bits, 2 diagnostic bits 16 point (X) input module.
The F2-04AD-1 can be installed in any slot in a DL205. Considerations are the available power budget and the discrete I/O points. The analog input module appears as a 16-point discrete input module in configuration.
