Product Description

The Automation Direct Facts Engineering Koyo D2-250-1 is the replacement central processing unit (CPU) module for the D2-250 model. This unit is a member of the module family developed to interface with the DirectLogic 205 series of programmable logic controllers. D2-250-1 offers every feature available of the original D2-250, with the addition of local expansion input/output capabilities. A total of 14.8K words of available system memory is offered by the CPU. A system integrated Flash program ladder supports 7680 words of memory. V-memory, a feature of many of these modules, offers additional device storage for critical data.

Over 200 complex instruction sequences are supported by the module. Supported instruction sequences include bit-of-word manipulation, drum sequencers, and leading/trailing edge triggered one shots. The face plate of the module includes four LED status indicators. These lights offer diagnostic messages concerning power, battery, CPU, and function. A mode switch allows the user to select between RUN, TERM, and STOP, choosing the operation mode of D2-250-1. A RS-232 port is featured in the middle of the drive, allowing it to connect to a number of peripheral devices. A second RS-232/422 port offers a variety of communication ports on the module. Programming the module is easy, but the operating PLC must have DirectSOFT version 2.1 or higher installed to operate normally, or version 4.0 or later if using the local I/O expansion.
