The D2-16ND2-2 is an input Analog I/O module designed by Koyo/DirectLogic as part of the DL205 product family. This module is designed with 16 channels. This unit is current sourcing. It has two isolated commons with 8 points per common.
This is a current sourcing module. Current sourcing modules provide a path to the supply source or the + polarity in a DC current. Improperly connected connections will not work since the current can only flow in one direction.
The D2-16ND2-2 includes a front faceplate with a removable terminal strip. Above this there are eight indicator lights along with an A/B switch. The unit is connected to a circuit board that houses all needed components to run the unit.
The D2-16ND2-2 is designed to mount into one of the DL205 bases and communicate with other boards through a backplane connector located on the rear edge of the circuit board. This will seat during installation. Clips located at the bottom and the top of the front faceplate will help keep the unit properly in place after installation. These should click into place as the unit slides into the base.
