Automation Direct's 8-point Output Relay Module is one of the plug-in modules from the DL205 family. While this is an Automation Direct product, PLC Direct is the company that obtained the contract to create it.  This module has an SSR (Triac) output type for communication. To notify the user of issues and problems, the module comes with a logic side status indicator. The module's purpose is to fit into a DL205 base and weighs 3.9 ounces. This module also has a removable terminal type.

As the name implies, the 8-point Output Relay Module comes with  8 output points that are consumed by the work process. The module also comes with 1 common for the module that has 2 I/O terminal points it. There is one fuse per common on the module. The fuse on this version of the module has a replacement, which exists under the product number D2-Fuse-3.

The 8-point Output Relay Module has an operating voltage of 5 to 240 VAC and 5-30 VDC. The peak voltage of the device is 264 VAC and 30 VDC. The AC frequency is 47 to 60 Hz. The base power needed for the module to run at 5 VDC is 250 mA. The off/on response of the device is 12 ms, while the on/off response is 10 ms. The maximum inrush current of the outputs are 3 A for 10 ms, while the maximum inrush current of the common is 10 A for 10 ms .
