Product Description

This Automation Direct 8-Point DC Input Module is a commissioned product made by PLC Direct. This module plugs into one of the module slots of an Automation Direct base. The purpose of it is to add processing power and ability to the base as a whole. The increase streamlines the automation process and allows for more devices to connect to the network.

This module comes with 8 discrete input points that are sinking/sourcing. For each common the system has, there are eight individual points. This module has one non-isolated input common and has 2 I/O terminal points. The module is fit for the base and weighs 2.3 ounces. The module has a removable terminal block for a better extension.  For clarification on maintenance and the status of the device, the module comes with indicator lights.

The 8-Point DC Input Module has a 12 to 24 VDC nominal input voltage and is built with a DC-powered system.  It consumes 50 mA of power when in use. The input voltage range of the device goes between 10.2 and 26.4 VDC. The voltage peaks at 26.4 VDC and has an input impudence of 2.7 KΩ. At 12 VDC,  the input current is 4.0 mA. When the VDC rises to 24, the input current rises to 8.5 mA
