Product Description

The Automation Direct Facts Engineering F0-CP128 is a three port coprocessor compatible with DirectLogic 05 and DirectLogic 06 programmable logic controllers. The module features a high speed dual RAM interface that is used in communication between the PLC and the CoPro. Each communication transfers up to 256 bytes between devices. F0-CP128 acts as an intermediary between the controller and peripheral serial devices. Supported devices include barcode scanners, welders, computers, intelligence sensors, and most devices featuring a RS-232 or RS-485 port.

Ports featured on the module include RS-232 (512K baud max), RS-485 (512K baud max), and RS-232 (115.2K baud max). Each port can be individually programmed by the included ABM Commander software. The software allows online program editing, program development, and upload/download capabilities. It is supported by Windows 98, ME, 2000, and XP. The PLC must also meet specific software requirements for the device to function. If operating in a DL05 controller, firmware version 5.00 or later and DirectSOFT version 3.0c or later is required. Should it be installed in a DL06 PLC, be sure to install firmware version 1.90 or later and DirectSOFT version 4.0, build 16 or later.

Following outlined storage and installation parameters help to prolong the longevity of F0-CP128. Installation of the module is simple, with removal not affecting the wiring of the unit. When operating in a logic controller, ambient temperatures must be regulated. The operating facility should maintain a temperature no lower than 32℉, or 0℃, and no higher than 140℉, or 60℃.
