The Automation Direct Facts Engineering F0-08DAH-2 is an eight channel analog voltage output module. It is one of the modules designed to communicate with DirectLogic 05 and DirectLogic 06 series programmable logic controller. Specifically, this module converts digital signals from the PLC into outgoing analog voltage signals. When the module is scanned by the controller, each of the eight channels is updated in a single scan. Designed for easy use, the terminal block of the module can be removed from the controller without having to rewire the entire unit.

The DirectLogic 06 series has V-memory, which specifies important information for the F0-08DAH-2. These specifications are:

• Type of data (Binary or BCD)
• Number of channels to scan (Up to 8)
• Signify which V-memory locations will store output data before distribution to the output module

A full 16-bit resolution produces precise, high quality conversions from this high definition module. Certain software requirements must be met for the module to work properly. When installed in a DL05 PLC, firmware version 5.20 or later and DirectSOFT32 version 3.0c or later is required. If installed in a DL06 controller instead, firmware version 2.30 or later and DirectSOFT32 version v4.0, build 16 or later are needed.
