About the F0-04DAH-1

The Automation Direct Facts Engineering Koyo F0-04DAH-1 is a four channel analog output. Compatible with both DirectLogic 05 and DirectLogic 06 programmable logic controllers, the module is one of many optional units for the series.

This module converts the outgoing signal from the PLC into an analog signal to be transmitted to an analog device. The controller updates all four channels of the module in one scan, writing new data to each channel. For ease of use, the terminal block can be simply removed from the unit without having to interfere with the PLC’s wiring.

A full 16-bit resolution allows for high quality data conversions in the module. The logic controller that F0-04DAH-1 is installed in must have one of the following softwares downloaded to the module. For use in a DL05 model, it needs Firmware Version 5.20 or later and DirectSOFT32 Version 3.0c or later. When in a DL06 series controller Firmware Version 2.30 or later and DirectSOFT32 Version 4.0 build 16 or later must be installed for the module to function properly.

There are some wiring guidelines to keep in mind when installing the F0-04DAH-1. Some of these guidelines are:

  • Use the shortest wiring route when possible
  • Use shielded wiring
  • Ground the shield at the transmitter source 
  • Do not run the signal wiring next to high noise applications
