Product Description

This is one of the more advanced models of the Woodward Inc. set of regulator and control modules, the SPM-A series. This unit is designated under the numerical ID of 9907-028, and is designed as a similar model to the less advanced 9905-001 unit in the series. Both of these models are available for sale from AX Control Inc. Our inventory covers a wide array of products, ranging across major industrial manufacturers. The condition of our inventory also comes as units that are both brand new from surplus, and lightly used, fully optimized and reconditioned units. The 9907-028 model is designed to check the phase angle and frequency of the utility bus and an offline generator it is meant to be attached to and then paralleled. The voltage inputs from the bus and generator are applied to separate the signal conditioner circuits, and they change the voltage input signal’s shape so they are able to be measured accurately. The phase angle for the 9907-028 is given a plus of minus range of 10 percent. The 9907-028 is one of the few Woodward SPM-A Synchronizers that are designed without any voltage matching capabilities. This unit is outfitted with the standard operational modes. There are four of them; Off, which powers it down, Run, which allows normal operation and breaker closure signals. Then there is the Check mode, which allows for normal synchronization, but does not allow a breaker closure signal. And finally, there is a Permissive setting, which check for accurate synchronization, but does not affect the speed.
