The WoodWard SPM-A Synchronizer A.K.A 9905-107 is a module that is entirely adjustable in the operational parameters, in order to match the adjustable dynamics of the engine it is connected to. Larger engines (running on diesel, gas, or gasoline), turbomachinery, and steam/gas turbines require slow-dynamic modules, while small or medium sized diesel engines require a fast-dynamic synchronizer. The 9905-107 is outfitted with a standard array of specifications when it comes to operating. The frequency range is within the standard 50 to 60 hertz.
This unit’s phase angle comes with a limited range of plus or minus 15 degrees, to allow for a wide amount of leeway in matching phases.
