Product Description

This device is one of the several Woodward Inc. products available from AX Control Inc. Our inventory is composed of several devices, both unused surplus, and lightly used, totally optimized and reconditioned hardware. This series that this unit is classified into is the SPM-A Synchronizer modules. These modules are designed to operate and regulate several parameters of industrial, three-phase, alternating current generators. These units are able to match the frequency and phase of the generator it is attached to by biasing the speed, and matching these features to other generators that may be connected on the system network, or the utility bus. The 9905-009 unit comes outfitted with a standard set of Woodward SPM-A specifications. The frequency range for this unit is a standard 50 to 60 hertz. This unit is capable of voltage matching, and has up to a 10% capacity for it, the most in the series. The phase angle that this unit is able to provide includes an amount of leeway, given a plus or minus factor of 10 degrees. In order to check the generator’s phase angle and frequency, the voltage inputs are first applied to separate signal conditioner circuits. Each of the signal conditioners are able to change the voltage input signals’ shape so that it can be accurately measured. The 9905-009 is able to be outfitted with a user-installed switch that can control the relay driver. This switch is required to be wired to the synchronizer contact points 10 through 13. The four available operating positions are Off, Run, Check, and Permissive.
