The 9905-001 SPM-A Synchronizer biases an offline generator’s speed set, which allows for the frequency and phase match the same levels of another generator within the isolated multi-engine system. It is able to automatically issue a contact closure signal to close the circuit breaker between the pair when the frequency and phase are evenly matched.
This series is outfitted with adjustable dynamics in order to match the parameters of the generator’s engine. The frequency range for the 9905-001 model is from 50 to 60 hertz. The phase angle is +/- 10 degrees, and is not outfitted to process any amount of voltage matching. The inputs that this unit is outfitted with have a voltage range of 115 to 230 V/AC RMS. The voltage tolerance for the inputs is +/- 10 percent. While in use, the power consumption is, at most, 5 watts. In terms of caretaking make sure to allow adequate space for ventilation as well as maintenance. One thing to keep in mind is to make sure to shield the synchronizer from a direct heat source.
