Product Description

Part of the ProTech-GII series is product 8237-1370, an over-speed detection system. This product will safely work to shut down turbines powered by water, gas, or steam. It has a speed readout of 4 to 20 mA, and two dual redundant trip relays. Model 8237-1370 will be able to easily configured to work with any size turbine and is an easily installable panel mount. This is a high voltage model with a high-powered input. In addition to acceleration detection, it is also equipped with MPU detection. Model 8237-1370 is resistant to sulfur contamination and can be used in a Class 3C2 environment. This product's conformal coating is used to offer long-term protection against SO2 and H2S gases. This product also performs routine acceleration tests and logs the results. A triple modular design also makes it easy to replace one module while the system is still online.

In order to perform the speed test, an internal generator and frequency are used to make sure each module in the system is functioning correctly. Model 8237-1370 comes with a two-year warranty but is discontinued. These over-speed detection devices can still be found through AX Control.
