Product Description

This unit 8272-169 is a Generator Load Control module from Woodward. This model is designed for special applications and is identified by the beige color scheme it is painted with. This unit’s input power supply required range is from 18 Vdc to 32 Vdc. The 8272-169 GLC unit is able to function while connected to two different options of power systems; the isolated power system option, and the local power system option.

In order to carry this generator's fully rated load, the potentiometer should be adjusted fully. Then the unit paralleling time voltage is kept equal to that of the system paralleling lines or the reference voltage set by the infinite bus adjustment. 

If connected to an isolated power system, then the 8272-169 is connected to a paralleling line. Then there is one set of speed controls and load sharing it is able to accurately measure the voltage of the generator’s overall load. However, if connected to a local power system, which is paralleled to an infinite bus, then the 8272-169 operates a maximum of 15 load sharing and speed controls.
