Product Description

This device is a part of the Woodward Inc. series of products, the majority of which are available from our inventory of surplus and reconditioned used equipment. Woodward Inc. is responsible for producing several devices that are intended for the regulation and system management. This includes several digital synchronizer and load control models, master synchronizer and load control models, and AGLC and LSM units. This unit belongs as a Generator Loading Control unit. The standard functionality programmed into the unit is that is controls and permits user selected adjustments of the electrical load that is assumed by the generator set. This unit is designated under the numerical ID of 8271-468. When operating and adjusting the 8271-468 to the desired specifications, these two actions depend largely on the unit’s use of a power system. It may be using an isolated power system, or a local system, which is paralleled to an infinite bus. When in an isolated system, the 8271-468 GLC is used with each load sharing and speed control. It is connected to the paralleled lines from both of them, and is able to detect the generator’s load. This unit’s output is designed to bias the line voltage to assume control over a fraction of the total system load. The input power required to run the 8271-468 ranges from a minimum of 115 V/AC, and can withstand a maximum of 230 V/AC. This model is designed for commercial applications, and visually is identified by the beige color applied to the unit’s frame.
