Product Description

The speed control device 8290-147 is a Woodward product that is part of the Electrically Powered Governor series. This model is designed with screw clamp terminals and can be installed near the battery and actuator it will be used with. The device is made to be used on prime movers with low mass and low friction. It does not need a mechanical drive or hydraulic oil supply. Model 8290-147 is an isochronous device, and operates with 42-degree rotations. It should be installed with 12 AWG and 14 AWG wiring, with length requirements being followed. The 12 AWG wire has a maximum length of 12 feet, and the 14 AWG wire has a 4 feet length maximum.
