Product 8290-136 is an actuator driver model from Woodward. It is part of the Electrically Powered Governor series and is used as part of an EPG system. All EPG systems are designed to be used on prime movers powered by gasoline, diesel, or gas without a mechanical drive. Unlike other drivers in the series, model 8290-136 can work with all types of actuators from this series. Installing this device can only be done with specific lengths of wire.

The 14 AWG wiring must be 10 feet long, and the 12 AWG wiring must be 20 feet long. Model 8290-136 is designed with cast aluminum to be long last and handle high heat. It has been discontinued by Woodward but is available through sources like AX Control. It is compliant with EU Directive and can be used with a ramp generator and load-sharing accessories. This driver weighs around one pound and should be kept at temperatures ranging from -40 to 93 degrees Celsius. It uses a 10A fuse rating and 12-volt battery voltage.
