Product Description

Isochronous speed control from Woodward is model 8290-051 in the Electrically Powered Governor series. It is one of the three parts needed for a full EPG system and can operate with actuator models 8256-022 and 8256-017. A magnetic pickup should be added to create the complete system. The speed range for this device is 6000 to 12000 Hz. When mounting this model to the prime mover it will be operated with it should be put in a covered location to keep it protected from weather events or other moving devices.

It should also be mounted near the actuator and battery to keep the wires at the proper length. Wires that are compatible with model 8290-051 are 12 AWG and 14 AWG. This speed control device should be operated in temperatures that stay between -40 and 167 degrees Fahrenheit. It can be used on gas and gasoline-powered engines. This model needs a 12-volt battery to be powered. No hydraulic supply or mechanical drive is needed for operating this device.
