Product 8290-031 is in the Woodward Electrically Powered Governor series. It is a speed control device, one of three parts of an EPG system. A complete system includes speed control, magnetic pickup, and an actuator. This device is designed for increased fuel use by using both clockwise and counterclockwise rotation. The product should be installed in a well-ventilated area, safe from the weather or other moving products. Model 8290-031 can use either 12 AWG or 14 AWG wires, which will change the potential length of the wires. The 12 AWG wire can have a maximum length of 75 feet, while the maximum length for 14 AWG wire is only 35 feet. Model 8290-031 is constructed with both steel and aluminum parts.
