Product Description

Model 8256-086 is an actuator from Woodward. It comes out of the Electrically Powered Governor series and will make up a full EPG system when combined with magnetic pickup and speed control. This actuator can be used on prime movers with low-friction and low-mass and is designed to ensure it can handle high heat. It is equipped with a start fuel limit and a safety circuit. The product also uses a load sensor and auxiliary input to make sure the model is operating correctly.

This actuator is designed with seal bearings and has a cast aluminum construction. This makes the model long-lasting and corrosive resistance. The sealed bearings keep users from having to perform maintenance on the actuator. Model 8256-086 will consume up to 95 watts of power, but no more, and is powered through a 24-volt battery. This actuator can be mounted to the engine skid and uses a 10 A slow-blow fuse. Model 8256-086 uses an idle speed feature with a 50 KA potentiometer.

Each end of the output shaft is serrated. This actuator model should not be used in temperatures that exceed 167 degrees Fahrenheit. Product 8256-086 has been discontinued by Woodward, but can be bought, sold, or repaired with AX Control.
