Product Description

Part of the Woodward Electrically Powered Governor series is product 8256-010. This model is an actuator that is used as part of a complete EPG system. Just like the other actuators in this series, model 8256-010 can be used on various types of engines. This actuator can be utilized for gas, gasoline, and diesel engines. This product is powered with a 24V battery and will consume a maximum of 60 watts of power. Model 8256-010 is best suited for use on low friction and low mass fuel linkages.

This actuator can withstand high heat and be mounted on a panel near the engine. However, it is not well suited for intense heat. Ambient temperatures for this product should be kept between -40 and 180 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure the actuator is operating correctly. The voltage supply range for this model is from 10Vdc to 16 Vdc. It utilizes both clockwise and counterclockwise rotation when in use. The actuator should be operated with magnetic pickup and speed control in order to create a full EPG system.

The Electrically Powered Governor System model number 8256-010 needs a 24-volt battery to operate it, when the battery and system are connected the battery charger must be no more or less than 5 A when the governor has been energized. - AX Control Tech Team
