Woodward Inc's easYgen-3500XT-P2 Genset Controller is used for complex paralleling operations. The model can be used with several power generation topologies. The easYgen-3500XT-P2 model can be used with LS-6XT breaker models, 32 of the 3500XT-P2 models and 32 of the LS-6XT breakers can be used together on redundant or single Modbus/TCP applications.

Product Description

easYgen-3500XT-P2 is one of the newer models in Woodward’s easYgen-3000 series. The XT models have expanded features not included in earlier models, and there is slightly more variation between the Package 1 (P1) and Package 2 (P2) versions. This unit is a P2 model, so its capabilities are geared towards cogeneration/CHP and include expanded I/Os, 3-ph busbar voltage measurement, and an interface expansion card.

This genset control meets IP20 standards. It has a 12/24 VDC power supply and is intended for installation where temperatures will remain in the -20 to 70 °C range during operations (-30 to 80 °C for storage), with ambient humidity not to exceed 95% (non-condensing). easYgen model 3500XT-P2 has a 50/60 Hz measuring frequency, and a Class 0.5 accuracy rating.

Full connectivity of up to 32 gensets is provided with the easYgen-3500XT-P2 unit, as is standard for controllers in the easYgen-3000 series. Functions include load management capabilities such as:

  • Open / closed transition
  • Interchange
  • Load-dependent start/stop
  • Utility parallel

For redundancy, load share and device-to-device communication can happen over CAN and Ethernet.

easYgen-3500XT-P2 has four operation modes: Auto, Stop, Manual, and Test. Details on each of these modes, as well as configurable parameters of the unit, can be found in Woodward easYgen Manual 37528G and product spec sheet 37583.
