Product Description

Control up to 32 connected gensets with control model 8440-2049, part of the Woodward easYgen 3000 series. This model has a rich feature set and a built-in HMI for easy configuration and control. Genset controls in this easYgen series support multiple communication protocols, making them compatible with common industrial interfaces including RS-232, RS-485, and CAN.

Open/closed transition, mains parallel, and soft loading/unloading are a few of the load transfer features of the 8440-2049 genset control. For breaker control functions, this unit offers monitoring, open-close control, and slip frequency/phase matching synchronization. Manual control of breakers is supported via configurable voltage/frequency control.

Numerous set points may be configured with this unit. A few of the set points include:

• Speed 
• Frequency
• Voltage
• Power
• Power factor
• Reactive power

These and other set points may be adjusted through the unit’s built-in HMI. The user-friendly operator interface of the easYgen 8440-2049 has soft keys and a 5.7” LCD. It is through this interface that operations status may be monitored, alarm conditions reviewed, and control adjustments made. Access to some features is protected through multi-level password capability.
