This part was manufactured by Woodward in the company’s easYgen-3000 series of genset controllers. This model is a 3200 model, so it has a built-in HMI and is in plastic housing (3100 models have a metal housing and no HMI). 8440-1995 supports the control of up to 32 genset units.

There are both discrete and analog I/Os on the 8440-1995 genset unit. Both types are freely configurable. This model also has 10 configurable alarm classes, as well as an event recorder with a real-time clock.

The built-in HMI of model 8440-1995 allows for direct monitoring of operations, as well as direct access to control functions should certain conditions arise. Multi-level password protection ensures actions are only taken by authorized personnel. There are fourteen languages supported for use with this operation panel, including English, French, Spanish, Russian, and Italian.
