Product Description

With Woodward easYgen model 8440-1965, up to 32 gensets can be connected for load-sharing, load-dependent start/stop, and other control and monitoring features. This model is in the easYgen 3200 series. Like other 3200 parts, model 8440-1965 is in a plastic housing and has a display. 8440-1965 is the previous part number of part 8440-2015.

The unit is configured using the touchpad and LCD screen. It has a multi-lingual capability with fourteen languages from which to choose, including English, French, Spanish, Russian, and Polish. This front interface provides direct access to configuration and operational status information.

To prevent unauthorized changes, easYgen 8440-1965 has multi-level password protection. The four access levels are Code level CL0 (User Level), Code level CL1 (Service Level), Code level CL2 (Temporary Commissioning Level), and Code level CL3 (Commissioning Level). Please refer to Woodward easYgen manual 37532G for details on password protection and additional 8440-1965 configuration information.

This genset control unit has a 12/24 Vdc (8 to 40 Vdc) power supply. It has both discrete and analog I/Os which are freely configurable. Discrete I/Os and analog outputs are isolated.

With that said, however, the functionality of the 8440-1965 makes it highly desirable, as it specializes in connection and controller tasks.
