Within the easYgen-3000 series is the 8440-1927, which was made by the Woodward company. Being part of the easYgen-3000 series allows for this unit to complete its main task being that it can control multiple units at once. This is done through its connectivity feature that allows for the 8440-1927 to connect to nearly thirty-two other units. It should be noted that in order for one unit to connect to more than sixteen units additional consultation is needed. One thing to note is the 5.7-inch LC display along with its ability to be programmed in ten different languages, makes the 8440-1927 quite user-friendly.


The 8440-1927 also has six built-in load management features that include: Flexapp, Dynamics LCD, FlexIn, and Flexible Outputs. These features enable the 8440-1927 to run its load management program efficiently. As well as automatic base loading, peak shaving, and import and export control. The EasyGen 3000 series was made to be highly efficient at communication, program control, and software configuration/application. This unit the 8440-1927 is no different and in addition to the previously mentioned tools, there are also others that add to its usefulness such as Softload features, Load dependency for nearly thirty-two units, and True R.M.S. current sensing. All these tools and features make the 8440-1927 highly valuable and sufficient. Part of the Woodward EasyGen 3000 is the 8440-1927. As such it is able to use several Flex App utilities such as 1-2 Breaker control, or measuring transducer/engine control. Another application tool is the DynamicsLCD that is an interactive LC display. -AX Control Technician
