The 8440-1908 model is a compact genset controller and can be used with gas and diesel engines. 

When you are installing your controller and the generator/engine it is attached to it is vital to make sure that the controller is properly connected to the phase voltages which are located on both sides of the circuit breaker. If you do not take this step it will cause damage to the controller and the generator/engine because the breaker is closing with mismatched rotations. This controller is also equipped with the ability to adjust vector groups for optimal synchronization. The controller also supports several ECU, some of which are MTU ADEC ECU7/8, Cummins and Woodward EGS02 ECU, and Scania S6. Your controller is equipped with a wide array of power factor control assignments; the assignments are analog PID controls for three-step controllers, PF characteristics, and reactive power control. Remember that when you are connecting your wires to your controller it should be shielded and insulated wiring.
