Genset controller model 8440-1848 is from the easYgen-3000 series which is manufactured by Woodward Inc. When you have received your Genset controller you may see a different part number such as easYgen-3200-5, this part number is the same as your 8440-1848 model. 

Your model has two different configuration modes, one is critical and the other idle. If you are using your controller in critical mode note that it can be used to operate things such as fire engine pumps or anything else that would not allow the Genset to shutdown under any alarms. When the critical mode is being used on your controller and is on if your engine has not already been run then the critical mode will try to start the engine, any of the shutdown alarms being used on your controller will then become warnings. 

One of the main features of your control is that it is able to be connected to up to thirty-two gensets that contain automatic sequencing. Your controller comes with a variety of different features, one of those is the PID controller that can be freely configured for many control purposes, some of these purposes are fuel level, water level, pressure, and other process values, as well as heating circuit control. The 8440-1848 model also comes with a fast configuration which is used to partially set files.
