This controller is one of the few within the easYgen-3000 series that does not have an LCD or keys that can be used to control the operation of the part, this means that your controller needs to be configured to be acknowledged externally and this does include any of the alarms that could potentially occur on the unit. It is crucial to note that if you need to restore your controller to factory settings you will have to do that remotely. 

Model 8440-1818 has the potential to operate in an open/close GCB/MCB mode, this means that while operating in this mode it allows for engine and generator protection and will measure any of the parameters from the engine or generator, some examples of these parameters are current, coolant temperature, voltage and many more. 

Your controller also can be configured to multiple different languages which include but are not limited to Italian, Russian, French, and German. The 8440-1818 model is also equipped with power and reactive power load sharing capability that can be used with up to thirty-two units which include a load-dependent stop/start unit.
